Coverage of Science, Technology, and Innovation by Major Broadcast Networks in Nigeria: An Exploratory Survey

This investigates the nature of reportage accorded Science, Technology, and Innovation (STI) matters by African Independent Television (AIT), Federal Radio Corporation Nigeria (FRCN) Nigerian Authority (NTA). Science communication research is only beginning to feature in as a key aspect academic inquiry. However, science technology broadcast has been going on for decades. The study aims at knowing feedback those media houses have receiving from public about dissemination emerging science, technology, innovation well perception select contributions Nigeria’s community specific areas national development. adopts interviews instrument data collection senior correspondents directly involved with coverage selected houses. major findings are that not all desks correspondents, although under cover STI matters; though varying degrees NTA correspondent who graduate.
